Ahava

Have you ever been in malls and been attacked by the "dead sea people?"  I'm pretty sure you know what I mean.  They try to grab your arm, squirt lotions on you, or just generally harass you until you yell at them.  I was really skeptical that the products would even work because of the sales technique, that is, until I found Ahava.

Ahava is not them.  They are the opposite actually.  Ahava offers dead sea products that are luxurious, rich in ingredients, and have a certain element of a spa experience to them.  I quickly contacted Ahava after seeing this photo.

Disclaimer: That is not me. It's Bar Rafaeli.
Let's be real. Who doesn't want to look like this?  Ahava generously sent me the Dead Sea Liquid Salt, Natural Dead Sea Body Mud, and Softening Butter Salt Scrub.

The products.
Dead Sea Liquid Salt.
Let's start with the Dead Sea Liquid Salt.  It's different than I expected.  It comes out as a gel, with no courseness.  If a product involves salt, I'm used to a course, abrasiveness.  This was simply a gel.  I'm supposed to give your skin a vibrant tone and more youthful appearance.  My skin did glow afterwards, which was nice.  As for the youthful appearance, I think it may take a few uses (and let's point out that my skin is pretty youthful at a ripe age of 25).

Softening Butter Salt Scrub
This, again, was a surprise.  When I hear scrub, I automatically think courseness.  This when on like a thick cream with a minimal texture.  It instantly moisturized my legs.  Just make sure not to shave your legs after use, it clogged my razor.

Natural Dead Sea Body Mud
Now comes the most fun part!  I've always been down for getting a little dirty (not in that way!).  I was so excited about this and immediately ripped it open to try.  It went on smoothly and felt very natural on my skin.  I felt very clean and refreshed after using it. Be prepared to clean your tub after use.  It gets a little messy, as you'd expect!

Overall, I really loved the line.  It was natural, without scent (a nice change), and felt great on my sensitive skin.  I instantly saw a glow, which is not common in most products I have used previously.  The only downfall was that there are no directions on the packaging.  Although most of the products can be instinctively used, it's good to have a solid recommendation from the brand.

Have you ever used dead sea products?
