Here's just a little taste of my look yesterday for Thanksgiving. I wanted to keep it glam with black and gold. Rachel also helped a little bit with some 40s inspiration.
Do you dress up for the holidays or do you go for a more casual look?

How To Conquer Winter
I remember about a month back when I was thinking of giving up on winter. How does one do this? Well, you bundle yourself in endless amounts of clothing and avoid mirrors at all costs. Makeup and hair styling is discouraged and the main point is to stay warm. Luckily, I averted the winter blues and instead found a much better way of staying warm!
Add an undershirt (preferably Uniqlo heattech), a leather shirt, a fleece vest, and a cape! You'll be add set and warm for temps as low as 40! Some fun accessories and cute shoes don't hurt either! Keep warm, fashion friends!

Dressed Down
You know those days that you just don't feel like getting dressed? Maybe you're sick? Maybe it's raining (or snowing)? I was just talking to a new friend yesterday about how the blogosphere doesn't really show those down days. I am going to break the mold and commit the ultimate blogging sin: I'm going to show you my true at home look.
After being sick this week and with temperatures dropping into the 40's, this will my weekend go-to: fuzzy socks, American Apparel leggings, oversized men's sweater (complete with Coco fur), and a messy bun.

More is Moore
Today I went to the BK Flea with Nike of Style Circuit and had a blast! Normally it's quite a stlyish (read: hipster) scene, so I decided to combine some of my favorite new and vintage pieces.
So my basic outfit is all black. Give me a break! It works and I like it. I have admit that I have been wearing this Laundry dress a little too much. Good thing I found the velvet version on Ebay for $25! Maybe I'll just change the blog name to "Black dresses and statement pieces." Just kidding! Even I might get bored with that!
This is one of my all-time favorite vintage pieces. It's a blue trench with amazing buttons. I bought it in high school and am still in love.
I'm wearing my new fur bag! I got a million compliments and it actually held all of the essentials. I can't lie: it felt amazing when the fur brushed against my leg. I just hope this doesn't increase my lust for fur more than it already has.
And for the piece de resistance: my new agate belt courtesy of Rab Labs! I've been wearing this a lot more than I've posted. Although I don't own any brown clothing, I've been able to incorporate this quite a bit with my numerous black and hunter green pieces. It's such a luxurious statement piece that always gets comments. You can buy yours here!
PS: And for my BK Flea purchases, you'll be seeing them soon!
PSS: My last name is Moore, hence the title.

A Feel Better Look
Sometimes we all have those down days. Sometimes just nothing works and you're just in a slump. The only way I know (besides highly-caloric sweets) is to add some fun accessories to my everyday all-black look.
Wearing: Elizabeth & James scuba pants, Uniqlo shirt, Zara vest, Givenchy Nightingale bag, Luxirare bracelet, Topshop heels
PS-There is nothing to worry about, little ones. I've just been a little off lately. However, there's nothing like some highlighter pink shoes to kick you back into yourself in no time.

Minimalism
What do you wear during a natural disaster? For me, I kept it all about minimalism and comfort.
Luckily the outlash wasn't so bad here in Bay Ridge. I wore my trench those, just in case.
Please ignore my smug look. It's mostly due to no makeup.
Only the essentials. It's hard to see, but I also have a super glitter nail on my ring finger. Glitter is an essential for too much time indoors.
Detail shot. Please ignore The Girls. Boyfriend gets a little distracted when taking photos.
I hope everyone stayed safe and enjoyed some time catching up on old shows, cleaning your apartment, and organizing your closet. I spent a lot of time watching SATC, listing items on Ebay, and eating way too much junk food (Hello Mr. Coconut Bun, Kit Kat, and Popeye's).
Wearing: T by Alexander Wang dress, Gap trench, Kensie python flats, Prada wallet, Vintage cancer crab necklace.
Congratulations to the winner of the Warm Glow giveaway, SoccerMom1!

Up To No Good
Yesterday I ventured around downtown and took care of some business. (Meaning I went to the bank, signed up for Advanced Mandarin, and did some other bloggerish things) I know, I have such a glamorous life in New York. I've got a bad case of the jokes today. Sorry!
I love random days like this. They come by far too rarely.
Wearing: Calvin Klein silk shirt, BCBG leather skirt, Kensie python flats, Givenchy Nightingale bag.
Trying not to get hit by cars.
Hey chick! Get outta my photo!
My sweet Nightingale.
Dear face, why are you so red?
Man in truck. Not interested. Keep driving.

L by Mo
I got a new T by Alexander Wang skirt.
And it was wrapped so pretty.
And it has a side zipper.
Huh? Wait! Side zipper? I didn't know about this! Umm...guess I forgot to read the description.
That's ok! I got a new skirt! I'm gonna do a mini happy dance! The End!

Out on the Town
Today I took a day off of work to go run some errands, explore the city, and do a little window shopping.
The plan was to stop by the McQueen exhibit, but the Met apparently didn't have the same idea. It was closed due to full capacity. Major sad face. We ended up going to Barney's and getting some lunch. Happy face.
Wearing: Calvin Klein blouse, BCBG leather skirt, Sam Edelman shoes.
I was so excited.
On the infamous stairs.
So many photobombs.
Mini donut!
Ballet Slippers by OPI.
Eek!
The Big Apple for sure.
Mm Mm.

Black + Gold
As promised, an outfit post! I was feeling very Lindsay today, hence the all black attire. It's super hot and muggy in NY, so you'll be seeing lots of top bun action in the coming weeks. And lo and behold my new Jealous lipstick!
Wearing: Elizabeth & James scuba pants, BCBG ruffled top, Gucci pumps, Vintage necklace, Indian bangles.
How do you like the look?
All black errrthing.
This is obv. fake. Lindsay cannot run up stairs in 5" heels.
Showing my crown jewels.
Yes, I got tired of wearing pretty shoes.
The front of my witchy heels.
Sexy mama.

Playing the Vixen: A Lifetime Role
A dear friend once said to me, "Lindsay, if you wear a black garbage bag, you will still look like Jessica Rabbit." It's true, the curves are abundant. This makes dressing quite difficult, especially for conservative environments, like an office job. Luckily, I live in New York and basically anything goes. I always know that no matter what I'm wearing, there will always be someone more naked than I am.
Sorry for the blurred and dark photos! Our camera was throwing a temper tantrum and only a few decent shots were had. Don't fear! More fun (and detailed) outfit posts will come soon!
Wearing: Saks Fifth Avenue Skirt, American Apparel faux-leather bralette, Uniqlo modal cardigan, Nine West pumps, Gifted necklace from Sarah.
So demure she is.
Full shot. Looks pretty innocent.
WA BAM! It's Wonder Woman in her leather bralette.
No so innocent now, aye?
A tired and very full Lindsay. No more photos!
