Zoo York

On Sunday, the boy, some friends, their adorable little girls, and I went to "Boo at the Zoo" at the Bronx Zoo.  It was on my New York bucket list, a Halloween event, and a great way to spend a sunny Sunday.  And plus, it's always more enjoyable to go with kids since they get so excited to see animals.

That's Poem and Verity, respectively.  They are wonderful children and such a joy to be around.  They are hilarious and are so smart for their ages.  Verity wore a princess costume for a little while, but then decided that she didn't like to be called a princess, so she took it off.  Such is life.

Overall, the zoo experience was kind of a bust.  Although I had a great time, the zoo itself is kind of lacking.  I had heard wonderful things, but I just wasn't that impressed.  The only cool thing was the Mono-rail that took you through animal territories and you could experience it really closely.  Otherwise, I would rate it a 'meh.'
