Medulla.

I love a good salon visit.  Seeing that my mom was a hair stylist, I didn't exactly have the most luxurious hair experiences.  It was mostly done at home during her rare free time.  Since moving to New York, I've awaited each of my salon appointments so that I can have a few hours of luxury, pampering, and a fun new look.  Medulla didn't let me down.

My new hair!

What do you think? I'm in love!  If you need an excellent colorist who listens to exactly what you want, go see Chloe!  She is an expert with color, considers your hair type, and is a doll to talk with during your time in the chair.  If you want a killer cut, go see Chris!  I think he was possibly born with sheers in his hands.  He immediately got what I wanted and started to clip.  I kept my length and got some bounce back.  I love the new shape and downtown feel.

Let's start from the beginning:

Basic and boring beforehand.
Foils are sexy.
Great views from 8th floor.
I loved the modern decor.
Front desk area.
Comfortable Chairs & Chandelier.
From the moment I arrived, I was treated like a star.  Fresh lemon water was sent my way and I unwound on the couch for a few minutes before starting my services.  The entire staff was friendly and engaged in sincere conversation.  One of my other favorite parts was the decor.  It was chic, minimal, luxurious, and calming.  It felt almost like a spa experience.  I would highly recommend Medulla for my New York readers.  I left a very happy girl!

Your hair is super glossy posse and I love the camel/red outfit - that combination is on my wish list this autumn.

  4. Gorgeous! I'm moving (tomorrow! ah!) and will have to find another stylist in a totally unfamiliar city. I've been seeing the one I go to now for more than 7 years so I'm downright frightened to roll the dice and see someone new, I'm going to have to remember it worked out for you! Haha!

  8. Looks super! My mom is a hairdresser too, so I'm terrified to let anyone touch my hair! The one time I did, I got the worst dye job. I consider it an absolute blessing to be able to look stupid with color and a plastic cap on my head in the privacy of my own home!
